Jenolan Caves

Caves have always been fascinating to me ever since I was a child and when I came to know that there happens to be one about 165 kms aways from Sydney, I was pretty excited.

Jenolan caves are said to be world’s oldest and Australia’s most awe-inspiring caves, with dazzling formations and pure underground rivers.

On our way we took a little detour to go to Wentoworth falls lookout. There were some amazing views of the valley.

Jenolan caves are also quite near to the Blue mountains, hence one can club them together to make a full day tour.

There are more than 10 show caves, each different in its own way.

The one we opted for was the "Imperial Cave". It was 1 hour long quided cave walk which also had an underground river. There are some adventurous ones too involving rapelling, crawling.

I found it quite enchanting and would love to go for the other walk as well.
